LOK AASTHA KA MAHA PARV "CHHATH"         CHHATH is an ancient Hindu festival of Biharese and Indian people and is the only Vedic Festival dedicated to the Hindu Sun God, Surya and Chhathi Maiya (ancient Vedic Goddess Usha). The Chhath Puja is performed in order to thank Surya for sustaining life on earth and to request the granting of certain wishes. The Sun, considered as the god of energy and of the life-force, is worshiped during the Chhath festival to promote well-being, prosperity and progress. MAA KALI TEMPLE-ARA  BAKHORAPUR The presiding deity is Goddess Kali. The temple is located at the bank of the Ganges. The temple is approachable by road from Arra dist and chapra dist too. Arra is connected by road and railways from rest of the country ABOUT THE TEMPLE— MAA KALI Temple is located at Bakhorapur about 15 km from Ara, Bihar and 28 kms from chapra because of (Veer Kunwar Singh Setu ) Arrah–Chhapra Bridge which reduced the distance between Chapra and Arrah from 120 km to 20 km.
